Don't let Your Request Go Unanswered

I am not sure how many of you actually read this but I thought this was interesting about how many e-schedulings go unanswered.  On the GRAR FB site I asked if there was any way to tell if they got caught up in spam? But they said no - I can not imagine a Realtor not responding to a showing request - so this makes me wonder - but here is a snip it from the mailing this week:

Did you know that 11,730 REQUESTS FOR SHOWINGS were sent to GRAR members over the last 65 days via the eSchedule a Showing program? Of those requests, 6,942 showings occurred and feedback was shared with the listing agent/broker in 5,242 of those instances.
What do these numbers tell us?    Well, on the bright side, there are buyers looking at properties! However, it appears that 4,788 requests for showings went unanswered... most likely due to the fact that the listing agent failed to check and/or respond to his/her email in a timely manner. These statistics reflect agen t-to-agent requests for showings and do not take into consideration the number of requests that are sent daily by consumers directly from the public website. Research tells us that today’s real estate consumer is impatient. If an online inquiry does not receive a response within 5 minutes, that consumer is moving on to the next property. Please make it a New Year’s resolution to put processes in place to insure that you don’t miss these leads! You will be glad that you did!
