Although I am not a Real Estate Agent in Grand Rapids, I run the Marketing end of things here at Griffin Properties; I have seen things pick up here every single day for both Buyers and Sellers of Real Estate....Every single month for the last two years, we have set records and have seen increased transactions. The Grand Rapids Real Estate Market has been turning around for the better for some time now. Did you know that our office in Grand Rapids is one of the top offices for Keller Williams in the entire United States...outperforming other markets. So when the news puts a negative spin on things to draw attention to it, or that it's tough on your family right now with one person out of work...I hope people can look on the positive side of things here in Grand Rapids. Things will get better each and every day.
The Real Estate Market has led the economy out of six of the last eight recessions. The weakness in housing today is probably a significant factor in the lack of zest to what is being called an economic recovery. But....I see NO weakness. I "Hear" that it is week from the news in Grand Rapids but what I see is different. I see the Grand Rapids Real Estate Market being upbeat, being strong, being on an upswing.
