Men's Journal:GR a 'best place to live'

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - As part of the annual Best Places to Live feature, Men's Journal selected Grand Rapids as the Best Place to Take a Chance on a Crazy Idea, citing its support of start-ups and creativity.
The editors also praise the city's eco-friendly buildings, public art, and walkable areas, such as Gaslight Village.
The editors selected 18 towns that they believe have mastered the art of living well in the 21st century by prioritizing localism, sustainability and conservation, according to a news release. They also took into account other factors, such as cost of living and the number of sunny days per year.
The article can be found in the April issue of the magazine, which goes on newsstands Friday.
In January, Newsweek released its list of the top 10 cities that it believes are dying. The magazine listed Grand Rapids as No. 10.
